I have a Radeon 9800 XT, Win2K system and am running 2.54 PC version Psychtoolbox. This card supposedly has 10 bit capability but when I check with ScreenDacBits(w) I get back 8 and when I use LocalClut to put in a 10 bit value it doesn't work. Has anyone gotten this to work? Should I be doing something differently? I do understand that there will only be 256 DAC positions per color but I want each position to hold a 10 bit value. I am also interested in using 2 of the above set-ups in a dichoptic display. To do that I would need to synchronize the 2 ATI Radeon cards. I have read the Tips section on this but wondered if anyone has had success synchronizing with software? PowerStrip (http://www.entechtaiwan.com) lets you control timing of the video card and I am wondering if I might use this utility somehow? Thanks, Ed FitzGibbon
