# demo code: linearized monitor output (PC/WIN 2.54)

Hi all,  
  
I recently wrote some matlab code to linearize the output of my  
monitor by adjusting the windows gamma ramp. The code uses iterative  
approximation, so to use it you would need a photometer attached to  
your computer (I use the CRS colorCal).   
  
I have no idea if this is the very best way to go about this, but it  
does seem to work. I'd be curious if there are any suggestions of more  
principled ways to do this.
