While my last “vacation” was mostly working twice as hard, and wasting away employer mandated vacation days from last year, this time it will be a real vacation in a sunny country with beaches 🏖, sea ⛵, cocktails 🍹 and hippies 🌴 🐠 🦀. And nothing but a smartphone for the essentials, mostly. And the girlfriend to make sure I fun and don’t computer… I also bought books made of dead trees, optimistic or funny sci-fi, dark sci-fi, pessimistic “not so fiction” sci-fi about how AI (the benevolent but out of control LLM + agents “paperclip optimizer” style) will doom us all - although having seen the news of the last weeks, maybe that book is not pessimistic sci-fi, but realistic sci soon. And a book about the end of capitalism and how we will all have to scale back, because green technology growth will not save the climate fast enough to save us. Which is especially ironic, given all the books were bought from hyper capitalistic Amazon, for consumption after a hundreds of miles kerosene guzzling flight … … Hopefully not being burned to a crisp by wildfires partially triggered by said climate change, or by the lack of sun screen… Anyhow, “team Psychtoolbox” rests for the next weeks, our email accounts will also be unresponsive and unmonitored. **As the “self help” reminder related to licenses and subscriptions:** For questions related to Psychtoolbox subscription licenses, apart from the infos on our website, Frequently asked questions and their answer can be found under the following link: > **[FAQ](https://github.com/Psychtoolbox-3/Psychtoolbox-3/wiki/FAQ#faqs-for-software-license-keys)** > > Psychophysics Toolbox Version 3 (PTB-3) is a free set of Matlab and GNU Octave functions for vision and neuroscience research. - Psychtoolbox-3/Psychtoolbox-3 Customer self-service for managing your subscription and its payment / renewal / manual payment for renewal / update of payment method / cancellation is possible by using the email address you used for buying the subscription on the portal website, or clicking on the links in your purchase email receipts: > **[Psychtoolbox FastSpring Checkout](https://psychophysicstoolbox.onfastspring.com/account)** FastSpring customer support can also help with invoicing / tax / subscription issues or tax exempt orders: > **[Support Posts Archive](https://fastspring.com/consumer-support/)** The machines on which Pyschtoolbox was activated with your license key can be managed via web browser under the license manager portals customer account: > **[Log in](https://medical-innovations.customer.eu.cryptlex.com/auth/login)** Have a good day, and enjoy August! ---
