# \[psychtoolbox\] Matlab Data Aquisition Toolbox + Psychtoolbox

Has anyone tried to use the Matlab Data Acquisition Toolbox  
([http://www.mathworks.com/products/daq/)](http://www.mathworks.com/products/daq/)) in combination with the Psychtoolbox for  
Windows ? In particular, has anyone attempted streaming A/D conversions while  
simultaneously running a Psychtoolbox screen animation loop ?  
  
 We want to use Matlab/Psychtoolbox to control a visual search experiment:  
monitor eye position, and branch to image stimuli in response to eye position  
within a video blanking interval. I thought that perhaps I could avoid writing  
.mex files for streaming A/D by using the Data Acquisition Toolbox.  
  
 Just checking, before we spend the $ on the Data Acq. toolbox., to see if  
anyone has tried something like that and noticed problems.
