having seen the clear frustration with the low uptake of paid support for PTB, I wanted to float an idea.
How about offering a “basic” level of support for the current 150 Euros, but also offering the option to pay more if people can, and wish to?
In my lab, and I suspect in some others, the cost is not an issue - it’s just persuading a bureaucrat that the PTB subscription represents some value. Some years I could pay slightly more, is what I’m saying, since the money comes out of a project. Other years I may have to stay with the 150 Euros or wait for another Christmas special offer!
So it would be something between a subscription and “crowdfunding”.
It’s just a thought. Anything that can help keep Psychtoolbox healthy and well (along with Mario being healthy and well)
