Does anyone have recommendations for a cheap, reliable machine to run Psychtoolbox with not very demanding applications? We have typically bought "bare bones" systems plus decent video cards (eg, EVGA GeForce 8400 GS or similar) on which we install WinXP and matlab; they need only the ethernet UDP connectionon the motherboard for synchronization and the DVI output to drive an external monitor on the video card. Our systems from 5-8 years ago are no dying, and I wonder if anyone has discovered something cheap, reliable, and self-contained that would work as well as these old systems.
