download failure

Hi

When I try to download PTB-3 to a new computer, or update my old version, it chugs along fine until I get the following error:

svn: Can't open file 'C:\toolbox\Psychtoolbox\PsychContributed\.svn\tmp\text-base\nc.exe.svn-base': The system cannot find the file specified.

It always blows up on the same file. Anyone know how to get around this?

Hello Cindy,

if you have a virus scanner active at that point, it may be 'quarantining' that file before it can use it, since it happens to share the same file name ('nc.exe') with a well-known virus.  If so, just disable the virus scanner during the installation and it should be fine.

Hi Steven,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried turning off my virus scanner
and get the same message. I don't know if I have some other scanner
also working behind the scenes or what, I'll get my IT guy to help me
out with that.
