Exporting a 'screen' as a images file. Can it be done?

I was wondering if a function or workaround existed that would allow me to export a 'screen' stimulus presentation as a image file (.bmp preferred). To be clear what I would like to do is save the same image that is displayed on the screen as a image file. Thanks for any insight!
