Well...I've spent all day installing matlab for OSX, and I could definitely be
happier. Here are the major problems that I've found so far.
1. Installing it took all day. You definitely get into the shadowy world of unix
in doing so.
2. You can't seem to open existing files by double-clicking them. Instead you
have to open using the "Open" command from the file menu.
3. You can't seem to see more than one window open at a time.
4. Even though I did set path, and "path" shows all my folders, none of my files
seem to be recognized (e.g., "help foo" produces, "foo.m not found").
I'm sure that there are other problems that I haven't been able to find yet
because of the problems I've already listed. However, I've only been working on
it for a couple of hours, and Math Works support, three hours behind me, is
closed for the day.

Does that mean that it is an X Windows program? Does it have problems
interacting with "real" OS X programs? I take it if you "couldn't be
happier" you haven't run into any problems.
