Hi All,
The OS X Psychtoolbox 0.6 release is now available for download here:
http://www.psychtoolbox.org/osx.html#previewRelease
This is a preview release, not yet ready for serious use in research.
For those giving it a try, I suggest reading and running the new
scripts DriftDemoOSX.m and MovieDemoOSX.m. These demos explain the
new OpenGL Screen functions MakeTexture, DrawTexture and Flip which
replace PutImage, CopyWindow and WaitBlanking.
Looking ahead to the next release, here is what to expect:
- Mario Kleiner's shell scripts for setting up Priority merged in and
documented in the appropriate Psychtoolbox .m files.
- Tests which validate the texture functions. They look good but we
need to read back what is written and match to the original matrix.
- New demos which show how to use alpha blending to composite
displays on the fly, during animation loops.
- More of the scripts from OS 9 merged in and tested.
best,
Allen
