I posted a similar message to this one some months ago and came up empty. Let me
try again with more details.
I'm using matlab 5.2.1 on a G4, System 9.1; matlab's allocated about 400 Mb of
memory.
My problem is that occasionally "Set Path" (which I always do checking "Add
Subfolders", clicking "Default Path" and then "Save") seems to produce an error
when there is too much stuff in my matlab folder.
So I'm going along with no problems. I now try to add a new folder called "Lum"
to a subfolder within the Toolbox folder. Lum contains 53 Mb of stuff -- 20 .m
files, plus three folders containing .mat files of various sorts (images and
data files). When I do SetPath again, I get this error:
??? elebrity Photos;',.

Missing variable or function.
after clicking "Default Path". I have two folders that could fit the description
of the seeming problem: A file called "Celebrity Photos" on my desktop and a
folder called "AG4 Celebrity Photos" which is also on the matlab path.
Any suggestions or ideas? Has anyone had anything like this problem, or any
problems at all with "Set Path"?
Thanks, Geoff
