in the QUEST scripts coming with the psychtoolbox, there seems to be
no implementation of £` in the psychometric function. i wonder whether
thresholds estimated with and without considering £` are significantly
different or not.
the c codes for QUEST downloaded from the videotoolbox do implement £`,
but in the example codes it is set to 0. does this imply that we can
basically ignore it? In the Waston & Pelli (1983)P&P paper, £` is
suggested to be 1.5dB for 2AFC procedure. Does that mean in the
program £` should be set to 10^(1/20)*1.5?
