Graphic cards for stereo goggle system in Mac OS X

Hello everyone.

I am finding graphic cards with stereo output, which is supported by
Mac machines, for experiments using CrystalEyes shutter glassess.
Because I am quite new to Mac and stereo setting, I don't know which
one is the best option.

Most of web articles I saw recommend nVidia Quadro FX 4500, but
because it is quite expensive, I am finding cheaper options like lower
version Quadro cards. nVidia Quadro series have stereo output, so PC
users seems to use any of these cards for stereo goggle setting. I am
wondering why everyone recommends only Quadro FX 4500 for Mac, and
whether Mac OS X can support other lower version of Quadro cards such
as Quadro FX 370, 570 or 1700, or other graphic cards.

My machine is PowerMac G5 (2.3 GHz CPU, 512 MB memory, OS X 10.4).
Could anyone using stereo goggles give me a suggestion of graphic cards?

OS/X supports this on all ATI & NVIDIA cards without
need for special pro cards afaik:

Simply plug in your goggles/transmitter and run
StereoDemo(1); and it should pretty much work
with your current card.

Or more cool: MorphDemo(1,0,0,1);
Also nice: StereoViewer, ImagingStereoMoviePlayer
