While my last “vacation” was mostly working twice as hard, and wasting away employer mandated vacation days from last year, this time it will be a real vacation in a sunny country with beaches 
, sea 
, cocktails 
and hippies 
. And nothing but a smartphone for the essentials, mostly. And the girlfriend to make sure I fun and don’t computer…
I also bought books made of dead trees, optimistic or funny sci-fi, dark sci-fi, pessimistic “not so fiction” sci-fi about how AI (the benevolent but out of control LLM + agents “paperclip optimizer” style) will doom us all - although having seen the news of the last weeks, maybe that book is not pessimistic sci-fi, but realistic sci soon. And a book about the end of capitalism and how we will all have to scale back, because green technology growth will not save the climate fast enough to save us. Which is especially ironic, given all the books were bought from hyper capitalistic Amazon, for consumption after a hundreds of miles kerosene guzzling flight … … Hopefully not being burned to a crisp by wildfires partially triggered by said climate change, or by the lack of sun screen…
