I know QuestQuantile will use the suggested optimal quantileOrder calculated in QuestRecompute. But what would that be? I read the 1987 paper and two methods were mentioned there: minimizing the variance and minimizing the entropy. Which one is adopted in Psychtoolbox implementation of QUEST?
Also, in the 1987 paper they introduced a lookahead factor, where with a lookahead factor of n, the method will look n trials ahead and find the optimized intensity such that the variance or entropy is minimized. What lookahead factor is used in the implementation of QUEST in Psychtoolbox?
