Hi. I am trying to make the switch from the Win version of PTB to the

OSX version. This sort of guide would be great! Does anyone have

anything like this?

Can anyone suggest the best place (or places) to start? I plan to

start by looking at the demos (OS9 vs. OSX) first. (Well, second, I

suppose, as searching the forum is first.)

My macros are quite basic (showing single white spots or black and

white checkerboards, mostly), so I mainly need to get up to speed on

the basics: what the different screens are on a Mac, how to draw to

offscreen windows (and open those windows), and how to copy those

offscreen windows to the visible screen. Perhaps this will all be

clear once I look at those demos.

For sending timing signals to the acquisition computer, I've just

gotten the PMD from Measurement Computing and will be using the DAQ

addition to PTB (many thanks for that!).

Equipment for this: Mac OSX 10.3.9, PTB 1.0.5, Matlab 7.0.4, ATI

Radeon 9000 Mac Edition AGP card, and 1.5 GB memory.

Any advice on the best way to convert macros from Win/OS9 to OSX would

be appreciated.
