Win-Psychtoolbox dual monitor usage..

Hi All,

I am running a visual expt where I will have to generate my visual
stimuli as well as record from an electrode array at the same time.

I have a set up where I am using a dual display card on my PC which
is attached to two monitors.

I want my visual stimuli generated through the psychtoolbox to be
displayed on one monitor while the other extended monitor will be
used to open up my recording program and spike display.

When I run my psychtoolbox stimuli,it is displayed on my primary
monitor which is set by me and the other monitor shows the desktop
(which suits me just fine)
However I do not have access to moving my mouse or scrolling it to
my extended desktop(2nd monitor) for other use.

Is there anyway I can work arnd this problem or do I need to use
separate PCs to do the two different work..

Thanks!

The Windows Monitors control panel has a checkbox for adding displays
to the desktop. Checking the approriate box and then applying the new
setting (by clicking the apply button or closing the control panel)
should enable mouse movements to the second display.

This is unlike Mac, where additional displays are automatically
included in the desktop.

Allen,
My mouse scrolls perfectly onto the other monitor when screen is not
in operation. It isnt a setup of display problem.I have checked the
appropriate box as mentioned by you.
Like Paul has written,is it true that it would probably work for a
mac as opposed to a PC!
