Dear all,
I am running experiment which require audio playback and audio record with precise time accuracy, but no need to have very accuract visual presentation.
Is it OK to ignore the synchronization failure in my case? Or the synchronization failure will also effect the audio playback/capture?
Ok to ignore for audio, sync tests only relate to visual timing/timestamping.
Wrt. audio playback timing, usually precise, capture timestamping on linux + macos usually precise. Capture timestamping possibly broken or questionable on Windows with standard WASAPI audio backend, according to some recent quick test: No funding → no time to debug or fix this atm.
