Problem with Windows Toolbar and Display

Hello Psychtoolbox Forum:

Our lab is having problems with 1) hiding the Windows Toolbar during a Psychtoolbox task and 2) A white screen appears for <1s followed by an incorrectly rendered texture in the background of the screen.

Regarding 1) the task uses mouse interface and if the mouse is moved over the area where the Windows toolbar is then it pops up even if it is hidden. Has anyone tried a solution using Screen(‘ConstrainCursor’)?

Matlab 2020a 64bit
Psychtoolbox 3.0.12 - Flavor: beta SVN revision 6287
Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64bit

Your PTB is many years old and unsupported. Please update to the latest version and see if that fixes things.

Note also that your windies version is rather old and untested since a while

Note that only a recent and up to date Windows-10 is supported in case of trouble, and only with the most recent PTB, currently 3.0.17.
