PsychToolBox 3.0.19.14 install issues Apple Silicon MacBook

Hello,

I have always used PsychToolbox on a Windows machine. Due to reasons, I have to run it in my MacBook now. I downloaded the version 3.0.19.14 from Releases · Psychtoolbox-3/Psychtoolbox-3 · GitHub to my MacBook and ran SetupPsychtoolbox().

I get this error message:

Error using PsychtoolboxPostInstallRoutine (line 169)
Tried to setup on native Matlab or Octave for Apple Silicon 64-Bit ARM. This is
not supported.

Error in SetupPsychtoolbox (line 249)
   PsychtoolboxPostInstallRoutine(1);

My MacBook is an Apple M3 Pro. Is this hardware not supported?

As the error message say, Apple Silicon is not supported yet, but working on it, with an ETA soonish. This will cost you money though, as will all future versions of PTB for macOS and Windows. For reference on the why’s and hows:
