Matlab 2006a Fails to Install on Intel Mac

Hi all,

I've read with interest the recent posts on running Matlab on Intel-based Macs.

My problem is that I can't seem to even install the latest release that I have (2006a) on
my new PowerBook Pro at all. The licence manager starts up but never completes,
and when I called Mathworks for help they tell me that Matlab is not supported on
Intel Macs.

Despite this, it seems many people on the forum are running the program. Any
suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Charles.
Thanks, that does seem to start the program. Now the difficulty is that, after two or
three commands, the X11 window no longer accepts my keyboard inputs, or does so
extremely slowly.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Charles.

Update: ML 7.2 seems to work fine in a terminal window (at least so far). But I
continue to have problems in an X11 window.
